We now begin the attestation process, ending at 12pm 22nd June UTC. See this thread.
In parallel, we will compute the leaderboard assuming that the teams’ self-reported scores are correct and look for a clear gap in the scores to determine who goes through to the “Finals”. This is of course subject to the attestation process verifying that these scores are correct. We will post this shortly.
“Finals” (really, Best-in-Class demo runs) will happen on the teams’ schedules and thus will be determined at the team leader meeting on the 22nd.
These will start no later than Friday 25th June although if teams want to begin earlier, we can work together to find a suitable time.
We will work out what these actually entail, and how they affect scores, based on the teams’ logistical capabilities as we realise that the pandemic has restricted access in different ways for different teams so we want to be as fair as possible.
We anticipate at least a couple of hours each day for a couple of days but we would suggest planning for a bit longer.
We also need some info for the RoboCup Federation!
Please report advancements in your team, robot, processes, and any published papers in this thread so we can make them known to the Federation.
We will need to elect some new committee members. We’re still trying to determine if it is 1 exec, or 2 execs and a technical committee member (it depends on if only terms ending last year were pushed forward by a year, or if all terms are pushed forward by a year). Either way, be thinking of nominations and we’ll try and hold an election tomorrow if there is quorum.
(As mentioned my brain isn’t firing on all cylinders, please reply with any questions or corrections about today’s meeting!)
